Evergreen tree, to 20 m or more high, 1 m in diameter. Leaves coriaceous, oblong. Flowers axillary; perianth lobes 9-12, pale yellow, with a red-purple center, oblanceolate. Fruiting carpels well-spaced or partly congested on an elongated torus. Distributed from southern Japan to Taiwan; in broadleaved forests from low to medium altitudes throughout the island. A rather valuable timber tree in Taiwan, the wood is used for building, furniture-making and other purposes. | | 設計建議： |
